Driving a go-kart through Tokyo traffic in a cartoon costume is about as far from ordinary sightseeing as you can get. This private tour takes you from Asakusa past Senso-ji, Tokyo Skytree, Akihabara, Ryogoku, and Nihonbashi, with a guide leading the way and stopping for photos.
I like two things here. First, the guide handles navigation while you focus on driving and staying with the group. Second, the photos are included, along with a printed photo, so you do not need to risk using a phone or action camera on the road.
The main catch is serious: every driver needs the correct physical 1949 Geneva Convention International Driving Permit. Digital permits, online permits, and 1968 Vienna permits are not accepted in Japan. Get the paperwork before leaving home, not after arriving in Tokyo.
